Komen Race Houston 2019

Continuous Breast Cancer Advocacy

For over three decades, The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® has established itself as the leading fundraising event for breast cancer awareness in the world. The Race for the Cure® is a chance for survivors and their families to come together and generate financial support for breast cancer research and awareness. Proceeds will provide women with access to resources such as aid and free cancer screenings.

Susan G. Komen is the biggest non-profit foundation in the world that is dedicated to breast cancer education and research. The foundation began in light of the passing of Nancy Goodman Brinker’s sister, Susan, in 1982. For the last 37 years, the foundation has generated over a billion dollars to provide support to women worldwide.

“For almost forty years, the Susan G. Komen Foundation has done so much to advance breast cancer awareness and research,” shares Dr. Kendall Roehl. “With the support of one another, these women have the entire community rooting for them to overcome the odds. I can’t wait to join everyone again this year!”

Join us for another Race for the Cure!

We invite everyone of all ages to join their team for The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® at Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston on October 05th, 2019.

“Memorial Plastic Surgery is honored to be a returning sponsor of The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® for the fourth year in a row,” shares Dr. Patrick Hsu. “The Race for the Cure® is an amazing day that brings the entire city of Houston together to support the breast cancer community and show survivors and patients that they are not alone!”
