Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tyler McElwee, has been recognized as a Texas Super Doctor Rising Star for 2024. Dr. McElwee earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, the highest honor amongst his class. Following his time at Texas A&M, Dr. McElwee pursued his Doctorate Degree in Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where his outstanding performance earned him a scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. McElwee further honed his surgical expertise during his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he authored and peer-reviewed several publications ranging from facial plastic surgery, otology, neurotology, and pediatric otorhinolaryngology.
After completing his residency, Dr. McElwee was selected to join a prestigious Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia under the tutelage of the world-renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Louis DeJoseph, wherein he perfected his craft. The fellowship included training in ocular rejuvenation, facelifts, and rhinoplasty, which greatly influenced Dr. McElwee’s love and passion for facial plastic surgery.
Dr. McElwee has successfully performed a numerous array of head, face, and neck surgeries, including facelifts, neck lifts, blepharoplasty, facial fat grafting, and other facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. He is also a firm believer in integrating a variety of non-surgical procedures, including Botox/Dysport, dermal fillers, laser skin resurfacing treatments, and hair restoration to achieve optimal anti-aging results. He is a member of several academic societies and organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and looks forward to bringing his expertise in facial cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to the practice.
